Why am I doing this?

I am really not sure what compelled me to start a blog. I think this is something I have always wanted to do but never thought I had anything interesting to say. I think I am at the point in life where the fear of sharing is less than the need to get thoughts out. I've tried journalling but something about it never quite clicked. Maybe it was the burden of trying to do it consistently or that my hand writing is closer to hieroglyphics than english. Either way I think I can express myself better using a keyboard.

I don't plan on using any AI tools other than the occasional spell checking. For better or for worse this is all me.

This is more or less going to be my outlet for what goes on in my head. I think the main topics will focus on being a father, working in tech, writing about sports, and trying my hand at golf. With a sprinkle of random topics and if I get brave I might touch on politics but don't want to make any promises. At the very least I want to be as authentic as possible. There is going to typos. There is going to be mistakes. The writing might not be perfect and the content may not resonate. I won't shy away from saying something controversial. I like to think of myself as open minded and if I every write about something thats wrong or needs more information I trust that someone will keep me honest.
